2. Scope
This policy applies to all users of the Piwo mobile application, including individuals, content creators, and any third-party services integrated with Piwo. It covers all content shared, interactions, and activities within the Piwo platform.
3. Prohibited Conduct and Content
Piwo strictly prohibits the following types of content and conduct involving children:
- Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM): Any content depicting the sexual abuse or exploitation of a child, regardless of how it is created or distributed. This includes, but is not limited to, images, videos, audio, and text.
- Child Grooming: Any attempt by an adult to build a relationship with a child with the intention of sexual abuse or exploitation.
- Child Solicitation: Any attempt to solicit a child for sexual purposes, or to meet for such purposes.
- Harmful Content: Content that is violent, abusive, harassing, or exploitative towards children, or that encourages self-harm, eating disorders, or other dangerous behaviors in minors.
- Illegal Activities: Any content or activity that facilitates, promotes, or depicts illegal acts involving children.
- Privacy Violations: Sharing personal information of a child without explicit parental or guardian consent, or engaging in doxing of minors.
- Impersonation: Impersonating a child or a parent/guardian to gain access to information or engage in harmful activities.
- Age Misrepresentation: Users misrepresenting their age to bypass age restrictions.
4. Age Restrictions
Piwo is intended for users aged 17 and older. Users under the age of 17 are strictly prohibited from creating accounts or using the service. We encourage parents and guardians to monitor their children’s online activities.
- Account Creation: Users are required to confirm they are at least 17 years old during the account creation process.
- Reporting Underage Users: If we become aware of a user who is under 17, their account will be immediately terminated.
5. Reporting Mechanisms
We encourage all users to report any content or conduct that violates this Child Safety Policy.
- In-App Reporting: Users can report suspicious content or users directly through the Piwo application’s reporting features. This is the fastest way to flag issues.
- Email Reporting: Concerns can also be reported via email to safety@piwohaiti.com. Please provide as much detail as possible, including usernames, content links, and descriptions of the incident.
- Emergency Situations: In cases of immediate danger or suspected illegal activity involving a child, we urge users to contact their local law enforcement authorities immediately.
6. Enforcement Actions
Upon receiving a report, Piwo will take prompt and appropriate action, which may include:
- Content Removal: Immediately removing any content that violates this policy.
- Account Suspension/Termination: Suspending or permanently terminating the accounts of users who violate this policy.
- Reporting to Authorities: Cooperating fully with law enforcement agencies and reporting suspected illegal activities, including CSAM, to the appropriate authorities (e.g., the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) in the U.S. or equivalent international bodies).
- Internal Investigation: Conducting thorough internal investigations into reported incidents.
7. Parental/Guardian Involvement
Piwo strongly encourages parents and guardians to:
- Supervise: Actively supervise their children’s online activities and use of social media applications.
- Educate: Educate their children about online safety, privacy, and responsible digital citizenship.
- Utilize Parental Controls: Implement any available parental control features on devices or networks.
- Communicate: Maintain open communication with their children about their online experiences.
8. Data Privacy for Children
Consistent with our age restrictions, Piwo does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If we discover that we have inadvertently collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly. Our general Privacy Policy also applies to all users and provides further details on data handling.
